The opening of Sindara is emblematic of Niom’s tireless efforts over the past two years, working with 30,000 workers and four local contractors, employing nearly 60 subcontractors to drive the project forward.

Located in the heart of the clear turquoise waters of the Red Sea, just 5 km off the coast of Niom, the island of Sindara is located in northwestern Saudi Arabia. Covering 840,000 square meters, it is Niom’s gateway to the Red Sea and, thanks to its prime location, provides easy access for yachts and vessels from Europe, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, just 17 hours by boat from major destinations on the Mediterranean coast.
Combining natural beauty, advanced design, technological innovation and architectural masterpieces, Sindara has been carefully designed by leading marina and yacht design firm “Luca Dini”. The island is home to several international restaurants, hotels and unique experiences. By 2028, Sindara is expected to provide around 3,500 jobs and receive 2,400 daily visitors, which will significantly boost Saudi Arabia’s growing hospitality and tourism industry and support economic diversification plans in line with Vision 2030.
In his remarks, Nazimi Nasser, CEO of Niom, said: “Sindara further strengthens Niom’s support for luxury travel. “As we celebrate the opening of the island, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his support, strong drive and vision, which has enabled the successful completion of this project and the realization of Saudi Vision 2030.” The island of Sindara will offer visitors a wide variety of accommodation options, including three top-class hotels with a total of 440 rooms, 88 villas and 218 apartments. Booking information for the islands will be released soon through the channels of the Niom Tourism Department.
Nasser added: “As one of the first Niom destinations to welcome visitors, Sindara will present a microcosm of more high-quality developments and unique destinations to come. This is a milestone in Niom’s journey and we look forward to achieving more of our ambitions with the continued support of the Crown Prince.”
The island’s unique Marine environment supports 1,100 species of fish, 45 of which are unique, as well as more than 300 species of coral, providing a unique diving experience and the opportunity to explore the wonders of the ocean. At all stages of development, Niom has been committed to protecting the island’s natural components and Marine environment, adhering to the principles of sustainable development.
