2.Where is fun in Hokkaido?

Before the pandemic, I had been to Hokkaido four times. Two of them were spent near Sapporo and Hakodate, visiting famous attractions such as Sapporo, Hakodate, Otaru, Furano, and Asahikawa. But there is a famous ski resort called Niseko between Sapporo and Hakodate, which is highly respected by Hong Kong people and has a large number of Westerners. I have never been there.
In my personal opinion, as a place to visit, the vicinity of Hakodate in Sapporo is more fun than the surrounding areas of Tokyo and Osaka.
For example, Hakodate, the famous night view seen after climbing, and the amazing scenery of monkeys soaking in hot springs, are all really great. For example, the winter penguin parade at Asahikawa Zoo is particularly suitable for children to watch (unfortunately, my child said they were too young to remember at that time), and it is also impressive. But here is not fundamentally different from other parts of Japan, at most it can be considered an upgraded version.

Don’t be fooled by the ice and snow, it’s actually not very cold. When we went to Xushan Zoo, there were big snowflakes floating and the outdoor temperature was minus 3 degrees Celsius

However, Dao Dong is completely different. I didn’t go to Zhinei in the north of the corridor, but Zhibed in the east of the corridor, the surrounding area of Quxie Lake Ahan Lake, and the Kushiro Wetland (also known as Wetland in China) are like a paradise, making people linger and forget to leave.
There is also Kushiro around Lake Akan and Lake Akan, which correspond to three national parks in Japan. Among them, the Akan Peninsula is also a World Natural Heritage site.
Here, you can hike through the dense forests of Zhijia Peninsula, board a ship to observe whales, and board a ship to observe bears;
If you go from September to November, you should still be able to see the migration of salmon (I didn’t see it, both times it was summer). Brown bears hunt for fish seeds by the water’s edge, accumulate fat, and hibernate for the winter;
You can also kayak at Lake Qu Xie Lu and Chuan Lu River; In the Kushiro Wetland, you can ride among the trees, and the air is filled with the fragrance of grass seeds; You can also hike for a few hours, and on the way, you will definitely encounter wild sika deer and little foxes. These experiences are not easily achievable in other parts of the world.
In Daodong, Hokkaido, these three national parks in Japan have good infrastructure, well-trained service personnel, safety, cleanliness, and can make you have a particularly happy and relaxing time. And if you eat seafood, the seafood here is incomparable to other parts of Japan, especially fresh and sweet, extremely delicious.
In terms of personal experience, the most fun places in Hokkaido are the three national parks in Dokdo. Having been to Sapporo Otaru Hakodate Furano cannot be considered as having been to Hokkaido. So, in the following section of this article, we will provide a more detailed explanation of the transportation in Daodong and what to see and do.

3.Food, accommodation, transportation, and entertainment in Daodong

There are three airports in Daodong, including Kushiro Airport to the south, N ü manbie Airport near Abashiro to the north, and Nakatsu Airport to the east.
Because I cannot drive, I mainly rely on JR for transportation, so I usually fly from Tokyo to Kushiro Airport or Munaibetsu Airport.
If you go to Zhongbiaojin Airport, there are two bus routes that lead to Luoju at the north end and Genshi at the south end. Both of these places are located along the Pacific coast, and the ocean has a significant impact on the weather. Overall, the sky is mostly cloudy, but the seafood produced is noticeably better than that of the Okhotsk Sea on the other side of the bed. It is sweet and not fishy at all.
In order to play in all three national parks, you can choose to enter Kushiro and not go out with women. You can also choose not to enter with women and leave with Kushiro.
There are two JR lines, one is the Kushiro Main Line, which passes through Kushiro Wetland National Park and Ahan Motochika National Park. To take this JR line to the Chikuzen Peninsula, you need to get off at Chikuzen Xieri Station and then transfer to a bus to Udanru or Luoju. Another JR line is the Hanasaki Line, which runs from Kushiro to Nemuro. Nemuro is the easternmost point of Japan, and after leaving the wet plains on the thick shore, one can see the Pacific Ocean.

Overall, Daodong is not big, and if you drive, you can visit it every four to five days. But because Chinese driver’s licenses do not allow us to drive in Japan, we had to rely on JR and buses. This time, we stayed in Daodong for seven nights. Although it has been a bit longer, the experience is more detailed and I had a lot of fun playing.
In fact, playing in Daodong can be considered as outdoor sports overall, but the amount of exercise is not significant.
Among them, you can get off at JR Hosokawa Station, walk for two hours, and take a walk around Lake Kumbu;

Afterwards, return to JR and rent a bicycle to ride at Tanglu Station. There is a small shop in Tanglu Station, where a slightly overweight elderly person manages dozens of bicycles. Although they are not particularly new, they are well maintained. Here, you can also go kayaking and drifting, right near the station.
